Worked in Health care for 37 years. Started with a bachelors degree in psychology. Practiced as a registered nurse for 32 years but 22 of those years were as a Board Certified Nurse Practitioner. Most of my education was completed in Colorado, psychology degree at Colorado State University and both a BSN and MSN in nursing at University of Colorado Health Science Center. I'm board certified with ANCC as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, Family Practice Nurse Practitioner and Geriatric Nurse Practitioner. I was a Lt. Commander 04 in the United States Public Health Service Commission Corps for 7 years working both in Public Health and as a Family Nurse Practitioner in Arizona. I grew up in a Coast Guard family and got use to traveling and moving. There are many veteran's in my family. I have worked both as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner and Family Nurse Practitioner at 7 different Veteran Administration Health Care Facilities. This year I retired from the VA system as a Federal Professional. I moved to Oregon in 2010 to escape winter driving over 12 thousand foot summit passes in the Rocky Mountains. I love living in Oregon as it is a very beautiful state with many diverse activities and lots of very nice people.
I enjoy photography. I'm working on creating courses for both individuals and organizations focusing on eliminating bullying in the work environment and teaching people how to best survive and cope with bully experiences.
